Default Advice on Shocks 14 RK

I know this is a common thread and probably beat to death but not sure which ones to go with. I am 6'00 210 lbs. Have a 14 Road King which I ride a lot with the ole lady who weighs 120lbs. Looking at the 12 inch Progressive 444 shocks, standard spring. Usually ride the air shocks at 30 lbs with both of us on there.. Thoughts ? thanks, be safe

I’m not sure I understand all the talk about shocks. I’m 6’ 200 pounds and ride two-up most of the time. The wife is 140 lbs. We carry about 60 pounds of gear. I keep 35 psi in our Ultra HD shocks and have never had a problem; great ride on the '09 classic and '14 limited.

Go with the Ohlins #6 call Howard Messner in Florida it will be one of the best mods that you can do to your bike and well worth the money. No comparison to Progressive. All Ohlins shocks will be better than progressive.

The air shocks work better when loaded heavy, but harshly with light weight no matter what psi. The nature of a shock that is quick and easy to adjust within in a large expected scale. Harley's solution is the cheap air shocks.

No disrespect but ride a bike configured like mine which is only a basic Ohlins shock and monotube forks and you will quickly realize the difference. I hear nothing but positive remarks each time the dealer tech takes my bike for a test ride after service. I just got off of a 15 FLHTK loaner during service and as much as I enjoyed the upgrades over my 13 the suspension simply can not compare.
