Default Blinkers

I just got a 94 road king, the blinkers do not work unless I keep operating the switch, any ideas would be appreciated. Rocko56

i don't have a wiring diagram for the '94.

so i can't look up, but I think that year has the turn signal module ( TSM) which will self cancel after a turn.

it needs stock type light bulbs to work, not leds.

there is an evo forum here, you should ask there.

If they just stopped working for no reason and you haven't done anything with the wiring, the relay switch is the next thing that comes to my mind. If that's the case it will be a cheap fix. More often than not when it comes to any electrical issues it's something very basic that causes the issue. Improper ground probably being the #1 culprit.

Im not 100% sure where it is on your specific year but typically under the seat and near the battery. Maybe someone else on here can provide this info. If not search TSM (turn signal module). Let me know your end result.

If you mean you have to press to turn them on, then press to turn them off, there is a white/green wire, between the flasher module and speedo. Check it is connected. It introduces distance travelled and switches them off after a short while.

I bought my 1990 bike new and soon disconnected that wire, as the darned things always seemed to turn off when I most wanted them to stay on! It is possible that a previous owner thought the same. There is a plastic single-wire connector, both parts of which are insulated, so they can be safely left lying around behind the clocks, once disconnected.

That's absurd. The '94's didn't use blinker fluid.
