I blacked my front end out a number of years ago and it's held up really well. Stripped it down and took everything to a good powder coater. I'd do it again in a heartbeat.

I had my legs, skirt, sliders and engine guard powdered gloss black. Made a huge difference in appearance. No damage thus far and as others have said the powder is much more forgiving over chrome.

A friend of mine suggested I paint my front end the same color as the bike. I am going to powdercoat mine black but I couldn't help but wonder what it might look like. Has anyone painted their front end the same color as the bike or have any pics of one?

the cvo bikes come with chrome fork lowers, but the 'cowbells' are color matched. looks pretty good to me course in the pic it looks black, but when you get it out in the sun, it is a really dark metallic green.

So I was at my local dealership today and I mentioned the HD black front end kit. He looked at me and said we just got one in and you would not like it! Apparently they know how detail oriented I am. I think ***** Shinny is going to be the way I go, and like someone suggested over winter.

Chrome don't get yah home, but it still looks better than black!

Blacked out bikes is last years Dyna.
