Default Lower Fairing Question

Recently purchased some Mutazu Lower Fairings. Of course there are no installation instructions. Question... Do you need to remove the crash bar to mount the lowers? I have a 2010 Street Glide and for the life of me I can't get them on. I know I ordered the right one's I'm hopeing they sent the right one's

This is what I'm dealing with. I bought the bike used so the previous owner may have swapped the crash bar out. It just looks too close to the break pedal. There is no room. Maybe it's after market?

No you do not need to remove the crash bars. I had to Trim my matazu lowers to fit right, as they would not slide under the rear brake master cylinder.

I had to notch my right side lower too. Go to the local HD shop and see if you can find 09-13 touring bike with factory lowers and you will see where and how to notch the right lower to fit around the rear brake master.

It does look close, I wonder If the PO moved the boards/controls forward with a kit.

So other than they don't fit, what do you think of the Mutazu lowers ?

Lol they are quality and I think that the Highway Bar is aftermarket and that's why it won't fit. If you look at the bends there is not much of an angle.

I have a call out the PO to see if he indeed changed the bar. If so I'll be in the market for a stock bar!

Not great pictures, but may give you an idea of the relationship between the stock bar, the chinese lowers, and the footboards:

Looks like quite a bit of difference in your bar and the OEM.
