poly or acrylic,some manufacturers dont make it clear with they use ,poly is better,it will not shatter into sharp shards like acrylic. i would also never look through a windshield always over it.

uncoated will have better clarity but will scratch easier. if u must look through it dont even look at a recurve,they are designed to look over.

National Cycle and Rifle make good replacements, a little thicker than stock but they're not coated. That will scratch easier but the coating on the stock will start to flake after a few seasons.

I replaced the oem one on my fatboy with a Memphis shades. just as nice, if not better than stock. tint doesn't peal off after a few years. several heights, tints, and with or without passing lamps. uses stock hardware...snip
