How so? I have tried and it was almost impossible to pop the green tabs without messing something up.
I think it actually depends on the year of your RG - I can remove my headlights with just 4 screws in each light. Once I had the lights out, there was plenty of room to reach in & mount the ballast
It has Hi/Low and we checked adjustment and does not have blinding effect aces25 commented about so he will need to holster his hand for someone else.
There is a reason OEM HIDs are in a projector housing. It's a combination of light output and optics. See comment below about aiming.

Adjusting them down lower does help with blinding others, but you also lose usable light output. Frankly, I would guess that usable light from the HID adjusted down isn't much more than a halogen, if not equal or less than. I will say that if your looking for a different tint of light (whiter, bluer, etc) for appearance reasons, HID is better than the tinted halogens.
You can look through theretrofitsource.com and hidplanet.com for info on what it would take. I've looked into a bit, and it doesn't seem to popular to do on any HDs. Headlight housing space seems to be the main issue with motorcycles - need room to mount the projector. The main "complaint" about a projector setup is the lack of spill when on lo beam. It seems the projector cutoff doesn't work well when in turns. Obviously on hi beam, everything lights up.

its an 07 RG with a 2010 or 2012 headlight housing on it.
I have the socal HID works great, but I have recently found my run turn brake function on my right rear signal light intermittent. It works well on brake and turn signal but no running light illumination. Do I have to add load equalizer? has anyone had this issue.
I tried installing my tour pack light and it flashed like crazy. So I removed it.

The HIDS should not impact your turn signals at all. Did you add LED turn signals?
yes I added custom dynamics plug n play led clusters in rear turn signals. I found that I have to switch on the ignition momentarilt then off then on again and light works. I have the HD auxilary RTB module installed and it has no issues. Works like a charm as long as I do the switci on and off..
I finally got a chance to add the socal HID upgrade to my roadglide and must say i am very pleased. Install incredibly simple (hardest part is fairing removal and reinstall). Price was right, they are much brighter and better viewing than Halogens. Here is link if anyone interested http://www.socalmotogear.com/category-s/36.htm
Easy install, but I did take off my fairing to install. I velcro'd the ballasts and the two other smaller boxes to the inside of the fairing for a clean install that is removable.
I can't wait to try these out at night. In the garage, they are crazy bright.
