Is stock length 13? What are street glides length? Love the SG stance. Anyone lowered full bagger to stand like SG and have pics to share? I'm one year into first harley and have the wind issues solved and uncorked that great sound but need to work on ride quality and changing to premium hd lower shocks sounds like an decent option...anyone done and any pros or cons? I'm 6'2 and hoping doesn't put me too low. Stock seat and that's a project for another time. Thanks!
I put SG shocks on my ultra, feels and looks good but ride 2 up most of the time and bottom out a lot ! I'm going to go back to standard shocks until I can afford better.
all the touring models are the same basic bike, some very slight differences.
the SG is only 1" lower in the rear than the other batwing models, the front is the same.
you may have seen bikes which the owners have changed further.
here is my 09 FLHTC with SG shocks, seat and rear pegs:
when I tour the 13's go back on, along with the ultra seat and tourpak
Maybe I will stay away from lowering using 12" units. Seems less travel cause people issues and some SG owners move up to 13" to get better rides. Some suggestions to go 13 and use lowering kits but then some bottom out hitting tire on fenders. I don't want to swap a lot around as mostly 2 up rides so thinking upgrading to premium 13" would be best option.
