Hey guys, I have learned alot from just reading all you post and I thank you for all your valuable information.. I like to think I'm pretty mechanically inclined but I'm stuck on this dang antenna.. I have a 2009 ultra classic. I'm putting on the detachable trunk I have already cut and put on all connectors. I have disconnected the the antenna but the nut will not come off the end. It will not fit through the hole in the tourpack with the nut still on.. Am I missing something??? The threads stop and you have about 3/8 solid left the nut will not go over? I would appreciate any help for the newbie..

 

The antenna cable connector should unscrew from where it attaches in tour pak. Pop out the grommet where cable enters tour pak and it should come out easier.

 

Yes I have the grommet out, The end of the antenna wire there is a bolt with a nut that will not come off?? how do you post a pic?

I see about half way the round barrel unscrews u took too much off.
