Sorry to be the downer but this is my experience with Ride On. I fell for the sales pitch and purchased enough ride on to do both the front and back tires on my EG. I had that crap in my tires for 3 months and was never happy with the so called balancing it provided (yes I removed the stick on weights). What really put me over the edge with ride on is when my wife and I were on a day trip and we picked up a roofing nail (little) in the rear tire. Upon inspection I noticed that the nail was almost dead center in the tread.
Now for the best part. While standing at the side of the road waiting on a ride. I noticed that my wife had that crap all over her back side and in her hair. She was NOT happy. Kind of turns to glue when combined with hair. Needless to say, I removed both wheels, drove to the tire shop and had them remove what was left of the ride on sealant, fix the nail hole, and balance the wheels the way they should have been in the first place.
Installed on/in my "13 Road Glide Ultra. Took the balancing weights off, went for the ride they recommended and everything was smooth as glass. Coming off the expressway to surface street no balancing problems.
I'm a huge fan of it. I had 2 oz of stick on weights on my road king wheels. Went off of the suggestions on this forum and took a chance on the ride on. Couldn't be happier with it. Installed new Commander II's and put the recommended amount in each tire. Bike is smoother now than it ever was. Had it up in the 90's and it was completely smooth. And you get the added sealant protection.
you know i went looking for this stuff today and no dealer carries it except for one and they had it in five gallon bucket. every dealer i talked to said they don't advise on installing it, even one tech told me he wouldn't put it in his bike. don't know what the reason is. i guess if i want it i'll have to order off of the net somewhere. i know this would cut them out of some money, but they could just mark up the ride-on alittle.
I know several people who have used dyna beads and had problems. I use Ride On and all I can say is it works great! Hardly ever here anything bad about this product.
