Had the iso grips on my bike.I liked them but the small Allen screws at the end caps loosened and fell out. So, this time I went with Avon air cushion grips, quality appears better. They are very comfortable ..
some riders with iso-grips have had the internal mating gear to the TBW separate, causing a lack of throttle control.

Wow, that's a little scary. I hadn't even thought of the differences between throttle cable and TBW setup. Damn, and I really liked the ISO grips I had on my Suzuki...looks like Harley it is.

Thanks for all the replies!
don't let 2 out of 100000 scare you. you've got just as good a chance of HD's crappy grips breaking apart on you

Took a trip to my local dealer today. Fit myself for highway pegs and new grips. I looked at the HD grips and I wasn't too impressed--they seem to be the exact same diameter as the stock grips. One of the best features of the Kuryakyn ISO grip (IMO) is it's larger diameter--makes for less hand cramping. So why buy the HD ones? Luckily, my HD dealer does sell and install Kury parts, so that's the plan. Thanks again for all the advice!
I've had the iso grips for almost four years . Like the feel but the chrome started pitting about a year an a half ago, looking pretty bad now. Must be my sweaty palms. Not sure if or what to replace em with, New iso's or others
Just did a comparison of three kinds of contour style grips to replace my Kury ISO grips. Actually ended up with a set of Avon Velvet Air grips and love them so far. Lots good about these. Check them out coming from the ISO. You might be surprised.
I had the Avon velvet air grips, I liked them. But after many miles, they were getting worn out, had a replacement set of different model Avons that I just "tried" to put on but they didn't fit on the throttle side (yea I knew they had some bad ones). I was mad that they didn't fit and I can't find the receipt. Just put on HD "get-a-grip" chrome 1.6" dia. I really like these so far for the size and the aggressive cross hatch rubber. This weekends ride will give a good chance to see how they are for long rides.
