The next bike is a 2014 Street Glide Special that has like 3,000 miles and comes with 4 point docking, passenger backrest with rack and Vance and Hinds Slip ons. I had a 2007 CVO Dyna and loved the bike to look at but wanted something more comfy so I traded for a 2008 Ultra which I loved but sold to buy the wife a new house. Curently riding a 2006 Heritage Classic and want to get back to a touring bike. I have always loved the CVO bikes and this seems like a good deal, but I have been hearing such great things about the new Rushmore bikes and with the accessories included I think the SG is a good deal too. What are your guys thoughts, which one would you go with and why.

Thanks
Phil
Would go with the SG. God only knows what the CVO has been through!

To say, "everyone does that", meaning AC, pipes and tuner is complete BS. Not everyone does that!

The '14s have some very worthwhile upgrades, over all previous years, that would clinch things for me. It will still need some work, like replacement shocks for starters, but that is my choice. What colour is it?!

I'll agree with that, it's unbelievable how many times I read, why do you you need to go faster, this bike has plenty of power, I will never use all of this power ... they buy for one reason.

I bought a Street Glide someone else had added accessories to. To date I've pretty much replaced all those accessories with the stuff that suits me and my riding.

Personally, I think CVO is pretty much someone else's idea of a custom ride. I'd get a new Street Glide, or Road Glide, Ultra -- what ever it is I want -- and then put the accessories I want on it, rather than replacing someone else's

I just added Vance & Hines, Power Duals w/ 4 1/2" Monster Rounds. This mostly to get rid of the catalytic converter. Sounds better, gained about 25% hp on a 96" TC, runs cooler. I was looking to run cooler -- replace the 2 into 1 Screamin' Eagle Night Stick slip on, and cats.

I always think; If ya can't decide maybe neither is the bike for you? For me, of the two, the '14 would be a "no-brainer". Lots of good stuff on the 14's and I've never been a fan of all the crap on the CVOs (I like to put my own crap on).

23 k for a 5 year old bike even if it is a CVO no way for me. You did not mention price on the 2014 but it might be cheaper and it is a better bike to begin with.

For me it would be a no brainer and the 2014 would be it.

The '14 probably isn't much more than 23k. I'd buy it and then customize it my way.
