I took mine off too.... looks much better without it..
Just wait, any minute now the whiners are gonna chime in about safety and having the bike fall on your leg or all the damage you will do when it falls over...
They just can't help themselves.
To each their own dude. The dang bars are there for a reason. You let us know how that goes for you when you dump your bike without them, then we will see who is whining, OMG I never should of took em off, lmao.... What a stupid post.
You must be in the garage looking at how kewl your bike is, OR you are already assessing the damage already done, lmao..

I had a friend who was a cousin of a guy that once met Willie G who had his bike fall on him after taking off his crash bar resulting in him losing his leg. The doctors sewed it back on crooked. He had to bolt on a 18" piece of 2x4 onto his rear brake pedal so he could stop!

Bingo!
I'm not whining.....
Remember me though........
My neighbor's uncle's best friends cousin had a wreck after removing his crash bar. He died, and before they revived him, he woke up in hell. An angel appeared and gave him one chance to repent. He now rides with crashbars on his sportster. We all laugh at him when he rides by.
Shortly after I bought my Heritage, I put a set of engine guards on the bike. I thought they looked good, and of course, thought they might help a little if I dropped the bike.
I then bought an Ultra. I decided since I was going to keep the Heritage (they feel like two totally different bikes) I would remove the engine guards. I figured I'd have one "slim" light Harley and one full dress Harley...
They were off for about 6 months and I just couldn't get used to the look. For some reason, I feel with the 16" front tire and driver floorboards, the engine guard just seems to fit the look better...
