Well i guess some of them set you straight on not needing to do something about your Jiffy Stand.
J&P Cycle sells a Jiffy stand plate that goes on the frame behind the Jiffy Stand unit and angles it up about 5 degrees or so.
Thanks all for the reply's . There isn't a shim kit to fit a '10 RK! To all that didn't need to do anything to their lowered bike , youre lucky. With the stock stand the bike sits almost upright when parked. The lowered and lightly shimmed ( don't like the stress it puts on one bolt) Pringle stand only offers a little more lean. Pulling off to the side of a crowned roads requires me to back in at an angle while everyone else is able to just stop facing with traffic.
Appears I will have to heat and bend my stock stand and re-chrome. Anyone need a $225.00 used Pringel sidestand cheap? LoL
Thanks for the help.
When I lowered my bike 1" front and rear it stood almost straight up on the OEM stand. That scared the heck out of me. Installed a Drag Specialties -1" unit and it works great!

I'll check into the Drag unit. Thanks, Glad yours worked out for you.
Some of the '09 touring bikes came with a jiffy stand bracket that allowed the bike to lean over more when on the jiffy stand.
The differences were explained in service bulletin #M1243 dated 3/18/09.
This attachment / HDF post contains some good pictures showing the differences in the stock Harley brackets. I was wondering if it was possible to modify one of the newer brackets to resemble the early bracket that allowed for more lean. I thought this might fix your problem without heating & bending or cutting & welding your jiffy stand.
Anyone know if I heat and bend the stock unit should I chill it down or just let it cool off slowly?
Just let it cool.
And don't worry about rechroming it. Nobody is gonna be looking at your kick stand anyway. It'll be slightly blue at the heated point but not noticeable.
