Well, the spade disconnect came apart. I must have tugged a wire too hard and pulled it loose. I heated the temp sensor with a heat gun and cycled the fan on and off, so I guess they are back in operation.

When I hear this comment about hot air in the air cleaner a few things come to mind; the air is hotter radiating off a non fan cooled engine, the only time this would be a real concern is at an idle or moving very slow when large volume of fresh cool air is not available due to motion, and lastly what about the throttle body? It sets right between the two cylinders soaking up heat but no one ever mentions insulating the throttle body to help cool the intake air charge. Not all but many "performance" air cleaner set ups have an opening facing the engine or a completely unshrouded filter element, if hot air in the intake is a concern, it should be the same concern with or without fans and I would recommend an AC product that gets its air from further out away from the motor. Just keep in mind that intake tract length is a significant factor in performance, the trade off may be a moot point.
I didn't really think about hot air entering the intake. The intake is right next to the cylinder heads anyway. I did notice, however, the air cleaner cover (stock football cover) is HOT to the touch with the fans running. Now it might be just as hot w/o the fans, I haven't touch it before I installed the fans.

BTW, some time ago, I mentioned on the forum that my fans are cycling on and off while riding. Jason immediately send me the new snap switch upon reading my post. Thank you very much, Jason, for your outstanding service. I know of at least 2 of my riding friends ordered your fans, hopefully more to come.

I just installed my Ward's fans last Thursday. Took all of 20-25 minutes!
they work great. Cooled my '07 Ultra off quickly. No noticeable heat coming off the right side. And only hear them a little @ idle when the radio is quieter.
A real well made product. highly recommended. thank you Jason.

Jason, what impact would these fans have on my 2009 Heritage Classic? I am about 2 hrs from Bragg btw and spent quite a bit of time there.

Considering all of the variables its impossible for me to quote specific end results for a given application. The best I can offer at this time is to check out the with and without fans performance charts I published on the website earlier this year. I left Ft. Bragg last year, retired April, Moved to PHX, now full time fan manufacturer, love welding in the PHX summer!

If your ever in Fayetteville during the weekend I'd be happy to let you check out mine, the fans gets plenty of attention sitting in the parking lot cooling down the bike. Last night we did a 9/11 ride from the dealer to the race track for a ride/ freefall exhibit and I had about ten guys standing around my bike looking at the fans before I left my group to go over and explain what the sound was and why it was still running.

Reading these posts have made me feel good about my purchase of the Wards fans. The mailman brought them today. Tomorrow is suppose to be a rainy day, so a good day for the install.

I am digging mine, got a set for my dad too. He originally was going to remove them after the summer but since S&S recommended a fan system opposed to an oil cooler he is leaving them on to cool his 124 motor
