On my shovelheads and my softail I carry extra plugs and points (no points for the softail) and even on my roadking I still blip the throttle leaving a stop light... My pops always told me to keep spare plugs and points. I never listed until I was stuck one day and had to walk..... Never again....
I do.
Always remember a riding buddy that had an old Kawasaki police bike with issues.
The plugs would become oil fouled and not start..a change of plugs and it would go.
Carried them on my 2 stroke bikes and snowmobiles... and carried for years on Harleys.
NEEDED them more than once on the 2 strokes.
Never needed them on my Harleys, so I quit carrying them. They aren't proprietary plugs, and any smart phone can look up a cross reference, just about any auto parts store will have one that will work in a pinch.
