I just installed the FL-Vieds along with a decatted head pipe and Heavy Breather on my 2013 SG. Very noticeable increase in "snap" when I twist the throttle. I realize that a tuner will allow you to "dial it in" but how much better will it run with a tuner?.....the xied/vieds seem like a great value...love to save money (especially because Im still pissed that HD doesn't include the back cover with the Heavy Breather and they want another $60 for it after I just spent 5 bills on the AC and slotted cover..F that!)
No they don't. Anybody even slightly familiar with internal combustion engines will tell you it is a scam. Have you ever heard someone with knowledge is using them?
The VIED def. made a difference on my scoot. Well worth the dollars I spent on them. Now with the VIEDs and gutted cat, the heat has decreased tremendously. Next step is a new breather.
Incredible. Mangling your fuel maps to worse is worth the $$$ ... ? I feel sorry for you, dudes. The actual cost of this mod is less than $1 on parts. And it is completely useless, ask any pro. It will make you feel better in low throttle positions, yes. But it is not a solution.
I tried them for a couple thousand miles and at first thought they helped. It may have been the placebo effect...I wanted them to work. I still had an occasional ping and decided that just throwing 5% more fuel at the bike didn't make sense - to me. I've done the Powervision and a few autotunes and I'm pleased as punch.
Lots of people seem to be happy with the Vieds though so good luck. If they don't work out and you decide to get a real tuner, they're easy to sell in the classifieds.
