I'm local so I will be there. To add to Jimmy1313 list you also have Skyline Drive for some great riding and scenery as well.
Rush hour doesn't stop around here so if this is your first time coming be prepared for a lot of stop and go. Also be alert, NO one here uses their signal lights to change lanes. 295 has a lot of potholes on it especially in DC so be careful.
Were coming in Saturday, Staying @ Embassy Suites in Crystal City, Going to do some riding on Monday. I haven't been to DC as a tourist since the early 80's.
Retired AF, looking forward to my first Rolling Thunder on Midnight. Don't worry the USA Flag Bike will be CLEAN
Say hello if you see me but most of all take it all in and spread the feeling when you get home. We need it
I'll be there, first time for me. Will be staying in Springfield for a couple of days. The plan is to visit Arlington Cemetery, National Mall & the Nat'l Harbor, then ride the countryside on Sat.
I'm stoked about Sunday, I just know it's going to be awe-inspiring, can't wait!

If anyone wants, stop by Exchange Saloon on G street NW on Sunday from 11 to 3 and say hi. Our band (Jammboxx) is playing outside that day, I'm the long haired geezer playing bass. I'll buy you a beer and we can talk bikes and stuff. That night at 8, I'm doing a reunion show with an old band Slider at Annandale American Legion. Would be great to put a face to a screen name and say hey to those in the area. Be safe, have fun and support our military folks.
Sons of Confederate Veterans Mechanized Cavalry will be there in force, just look for all the Confederate flags.
As stated, avoid Friday afternoon, traffic nightmare in the area.
Geez, staying at the high rent district in DC is pretty expensive. You can find places a whole lot less down south of Fredericksburg, VA and have a straight shot right up the freeway to DC on Sunday morning.
