i bought an 07 road glide and i really like it. i rode an vtx 1800 before this and i miss the power i had on the honda. my question is what all can i do to my road glide to get more hp and torque out of it without making the waranty void. is putting aftermarkes exhaust and the stage one the olny thing i can do?
I believe that we make a choice when considering any changes. I have heard the dealers say as long as WE install the part it will be covered. It will always come down to them!
The CHOICE; once you start to go down the road of more power you can toss the warranty on your motorin the trash. Your warranty will cover any part that is not directly affected by any mod you do. So if you put on an after market exhaust and you speedo stops working your speedo will remain covered under the warranty etc.
So do what you want just know what the changes can affect. I just did my motor and I have made the choice that if something goes wrong there I will have to eat the cost. I would assume that if you by the parts from YOUR Dealer you will have a better chance at keeping things covered....
Check with dealer. Like the owner even. Spoke to several dealers and some got all squirmish and others would love to build bike up all day and honer warrenty,,as long as they did the work$$$
