I pulled the trigger on LED signals and installed them with the Biketronics plug and play load equalizer. Now I am throwing codes S 61121 and 61122 which are the signals. I can't win. Anyone else run into this issue? Everything I read about these codes say they are shorts in the signal circuits. They work fine but are bringing on the security/trouble light on the speedometer.
Called CD and of course they blamed the Biketronics module. I told them that I had gotten a coupon code for when I purchased my signals and asked them if they could look it up since I can't find it. So I can buy their module. They said they can not and they can not even look up my account and when I even bought the signals. It was 3 weeks ago. No records? Are you serious? So much for customer service.
Heres the biggest issue. My local Harley dealer sells all the Custom Dynamic stuff BUT does not take any electrical parts back if they do not install it. I agree with this. I talked to CD about buying a module from the HD dealer and if I have a warranty issue. They said that they will not take a defective part back directly from me because I did not buy it directly through them. I would have to bring it back to the dealer, and they would have to send it back. No go with the dealership; unless they install it. So if you bought, and installed, everything yourself from a HD dealership; your screwed if there is a warranty issue.
Hope you get it all worked out, I bought the signals and equalizer straight from them and I have no complaints, the one time I did contact CS, all was well.
To rule in/out BT module put old pair of bulbs in rear with CD's in front leaving BT out it'll work fine without equalizer with only one set LED's. Then reverse it and put bulbs in front and LEDs in rear leaving BT out. See if you still get codes. I use to run a BT-801 with CD's front rear LEDs never has any isssues.
Called Biketronics and they walked me through some steps. Still didn't work and threw codes. They said to call who I got it from (Eastern Performance)and see if they would just exchange it out. Eastern Performance would not do anything and said I would have to deal directly with the manufacture. LUCKILY Biketronics is NOT like Custom Dynamics and will deal directly with me even though I did not buy it direct. They are sending out a new equalizer and asked me to send the old one back when I receive the new one. At least someone stands behind their product.
My stealer (NOTORIOUSLY CUSTOMER UNFRIENDLY) replaced my equalizer when I returned it because there was a small hairline crack that didn't show until I had smudged it with my slightly dirty fingers trying to figure out why it wasn't working right. Also replaced both dynamic ringz when one of the rings started staying on when blinker was flashing. They tried to say I only had one year,I said oh yea CD says lifetime. So they tried to give me one but the new one didn't quite match the old one,and I asked em would you want that on your bike.No wonder I can hear them say,Oh no it's him again when I walk in lol

The dealer does not take back any electrical items because of people who do not know what they are doing blow up parts and try to return them. I relate because I do HVAC and the supply houses I deal with are the same with taking back electrical parts from people they do not know. It sucks, but I see why they do it. What angers me is that Custom Dynamics will turn their back on you if the dealers policy is no returns on electrical parts, They will not accept any returns if you did not buy it from them. Luckily I did buy the LED signals from them.
