I like the sound of these pipes, but im not sure about the diameter of them. Is anyone else running these? Do you find them way to loud? They look a little small for a touring bike IMO. Am I the only one that thinks that? Im wanting to get my bike louder. Right now Im running factory everything with (I think some aftermarket quite slip ons).. I dont get out much to hear other bikes to know what sounds good... Im having a hard time here fellas... give me some direction.
Need to get rid of the cat Dude, then see what you have.
V&H Power Duals (My preference), Dresser Duals, other options.
The cat alone holds back lots of sound, heat, and performance.
Search the forum, lots of ideas...
I guess I should have noted. What ever I do I plan on doing a full exhaust, air cleaner and race tuner... Im sure I could decat the head pipe and put some slip ons on but Im just gonna go ahead and redo everything...
I have a black set of big shots on my roadking. Some bikes they don't look right but on the kings i think they look perfect, more of a classic look imo. They are loud and have a different tone than most other pipes.
Those do look good on your bike, Im gonna go with chrome I think... I guess Im just so used to seeing these big *** exhaust pipes that when I see the smaller ones they seem odd looking.
I have a set of chrome on my streetglide. They definitely have a raspier sound to them compared to some of the huge mufflers. I'm very happy with mine. The sound is similar to the big radius I had on my softail if that helps.

The big shot duals that fit your 2012 Road King are not going to look like these. They will look like these.
I'm running bigshots on a '14 RK. I took the baffles out but I'm pretty sure they're going back in this weekend, it's way too loud. our city cops don't usually say much but I got one's attention last weekend.
the size doesn't bother me at all.
