Default codes p1353&1356
I was checking a code for my abs when i noticed the bike had these two codes too. The bike runs fine, but at times i think it may have a little chugging when in 6th gear. I've seen these codes can be anything from plug wires, plugs, twist grip sensor, fuel lines etc. I also had a no rsp code, but i'm wondering if my power commander is kicking that code. I had all the ecm and power commander unplugged recently too. Could this have caused it to throw these codes? thanks for any help.

My bikes is a 09 street glide by the way. Could this be caused because my plugs aren't ion sensing with the delphi system. I just remebered last year I put new plugs in and went with denso iridium ones that were supposed to be the lates and greatest. I might try buying a set of champions and see if that clears the code.

when in doubt, clear the codes and see how long and why they come back.

Why not use the stock HD plugs for your model bike? Hard to say what could have caused the codes. Clear them and see if they happen again.

Press and hold the odometer reset while code is in view.

I will be purchasing a set of stock ones tonight. I just wanted to save the 50 mile round tri to the dealer.

These two codes seem to stump a lot of people. Hard to believe nobody has chimmed in. I'll post after my plug change if I remember.

I did a quicky search and the cause seems to center on plugs, wires and plug gap.

A couple things to try:
- Make sure the cap on top of the plug is tight
- Make sure the plug wires are sdeated on the plugs
