How many guys try and ride every day no matter what the weather is ?
I work 12 hr shifts so it leaves no time @ night for a spin and i ache to ride, but the rain here is every other day it seems and i hate leaving bike out in rain as its always slept in a garage . i get out Sat/Sun but its not enough
Riding in rain don't bother me... but leaving bike out in rain does ..
I would but I work in downtown Boston. There's no motorcycle parking anywhere and most of the car garages won't allow bikes...Also, no matter how hard core, most winter days in Boston are un-rideable. Cold is fine, but not ice and snow.
There are some metered spots but I don't really trust the dregs of society that are our lurking during the day while I'm working to fund their EBT cards. Could envision coming out to find my bike either gone or knocked over.
daily ride to work regardless of weather unless it is excessively nasty thunderstorms or what not. Don't care if it gets wet. If it can't handle a little wet weather then I'll get rid of it and find one that can. I don't mind mine getting a little wet other than the fact that the seat seems to collect water and squeeze out on my backside the day after. Other than that I ride daily.
The only exception other than really bad thunderstorms, is my wife occasionally fusses at me and wants me to ride with her. We work at the same spot but she generally works longer hours than me and we have a 3 year old to drop off at daycare so we can't ride together. So once in a while she complain enough that I ride with her a day to two to keep the peace. She was really pissed when I bought the rain gear. But she got over it, she knows I love to ride and she does to, just not easy for her right now.

Same with me. If a bad storm is going to be here (Pittsburgh, PA) I will take the car. If rain in the morning or night, I will bring it. As long as the weather is warmer than 40, I will ride.

Thunderstorms complicates it for me here as i use back roads that puddle up with holes in em... + work is @ a dead end mud covered road
