Default LRS shields

Ok here's the deal, right now I have a KW 6.5 windshield and went on my first ride on the highway and felt pretty much all the wind in my face!!! Anyways I just made a purchase thru LRS...I got the ultra 8" dark tint. Did anybody have the same experience? The KW 6.5" is good for a local or getting around town

I just hope I made the right choice

I use my 8" Ultra every day. You will notice a difference. And, what's great is, you're looking over the top instead of through it.

I agree. I have the 8" ultra. Does great at blocking wind for me and I look over it. I'll see if I can dig up a pic of it mounted.

I have the kw 6.5 and when I first got I thought the same way. Later I found that if I close my legs around the tank "most" not all of the air is gone. I talked crap about the shield when I first got it...Its still on the bike after 4 yrs. bout time for another one and I think its going to be the LRS. hope this helps alittle.
kroozeabout.

8" Ultra works for me too. I need to order a new one though, lots of micro-scratches in mine make it a bitch to ride into the sun.

I found the same issue with wind around the tank. Thought it was a windshield problem at first. Tried 4 and no luck. Got the HD fork mounted wind deflectors and cant use them due to aux. lights. Not sure what to do know.
