2013 Road Glide Custom changes this week
I put Yaffe 12" bagger bars on my '13 RG this week without cable changes. Wires would work for 30" apes, brake is perfect, throttle by wire is fine, clutch is almost maxed out. Next time I have exhaust off I will swap the clutch cable for +4. $86 for 12" apes.
I also installed an exhaust system from a pre '09 bike. Bolted up just fine and the relocation of O2's was a breeze. I used a NAMZ extension. Amazon sells the package with 1 extension and 2 bung conversions from 18mm to 12mm.
The easiest job of the week, or what was supposed to be the easiest, was the air cleaner........didn't know you need to take the tank off. I wasn't going to take a full tank off so I was able to cut a 3/16 allen to the correct length and get it in a 3/16 1/4 drive socket. That allowed me to work in that small gap between the bracket and the bottom of tank. The bracket creates an unfiltered gap between the throttle body and the a/c. Also, you will only have about 2 threads in the holes if you don't remove bracket. Be aware of morons on youtube documenting this air cleaner swap and not accounting for that bracket.
Anyhoo, I now have 12" apes, 2 into 1 exhaust, and a Screamin Eagle air cleaner for a grand total of $480. (I already had the Power Vision).
Next is blacking out the front end and changing to '14 Street Glide wheels and front fender.....if the front fender fits that is.
