Cable length for 16" apes

Cable length for 16" apes

I have a 2014 Road King and I am needing the cable legths for my bike. I went with 16" Carlini Gangster Apes. I have only heard from one person that says he went with +8 on brake line and +12 on clutch cable. I am looking for more of a confirmation as the +12 seem a little long. What did you go with and how did they fit?

wish I knew what to tell you a local indy or tech at the h-d shop would be a good place to start.
post some pics when the project starts looking at apes myself for my 16 Road King

Will do. I wanted to get an accurate +size from those who actually have a Road King with 16" apes. But your right, I will try the dealership.

This isn't exactly what you are looking for, but I put 12" monkey bars on my SGS using the factory cables. Everyone says they are equal to everyone else's 14" bars. So I would go with a +4 cable.

Others may have a better estimation for you, or you could call the bar manufacturer. They should know for sure.

Pretty sure +4 would work perfectly, but call the manufacturer for a second opinion. I did my install on a Rushmore, but my cables aren't exposed so I'm sure the routing is different.
