Any tips? 99 Ultra Classic with95 cu in. What kind of head gaskets work the best? Good idea to go with adjustable push rods? If so, what kind are the best? TIA

Go with the cometic .030 head gaskets and you can get the SE adjustables and they will work fine.

Like Dawg said - adjustables are nice since you can play with the cam area without the removal of the top end.

Ditto to Dawg and Ted. Cometics will add some compression to your build as well and if the're the metal 3 layer type, they are bullet-proof. Would be good idea to add thoseadjustables whilst youhaveit torn down.

So on the SE adjustable push rods do you need new tubes? Are they different? Where is the best place to pick up the parts I need? Do I need to take the heads to a machine shop and have them surfaced? Give me a 4wd and no problem with working on them, but I am new to working on Harley's.

Well I ordered the Cometics gaskets at one of the cycle shops, they had the set but had to order the head gaskets for the 95's. They where going to overnight them so I would have them on Friday or Sat. I was going to put the bike back together on Sunday, the head gaskets did not come in and they said it would be Monday. Delema here, they said that they could get me the SE multilayer gaskets for Sat. Has anyone had problems with the SE head gaskets and should I wait until I get the Cometics or go together with the SE's. Thanks
