I want to install this Comfort Profile Saddlebag Guard Kit (49179-09):
But when comparing it to this Rear Saddlebag Guard Kit (49282-09B)...
...it seems that some parts are missing!
I only want to install the saddlebag guards, not the saddlebag guard rails.
Do I need those black pieces in part # 49282-09B? If so, can they be purchased separately? Are the nuts & bolts included in 49179-09 all that I need?
Thanks for any help, guys.

Exactly! Been there - done that. When you look up those part numbers on H-D's web-site or in the OEM Parts Finder on Ronnie's H-D website, you get nothing, nada, zilch!

I'm not a TOTAL fool.
you won't find them as OEM for a street glide .... because they aren't original equipment for a street glide. if you look up OEM parts for, say a, 2009 FLHTC ... there they are. Found them right away on Ronnie's website - $90.90 for each support plus whatever for 2 nuts and antenna bracket
or maybe I don't understand your question - I told you what parts you need to order along with those comfort guards
you need the black things -- that is what the saddlebag guards bolt up to -- SG do not come with those --

Ahhh... Okay. NOW, I get it. So, we're looking at about $350, plus shipping, for parts. Geez! I guess I don't need them as badly as I though t I did.
Thanks for the clarification AND the edification, Weavr99FLHT. I appreciate it.
You do not need The ( black things ) they are already on the bike you will need the bolt for the top and when you install if someone over tightened the bolt that connects it to the black thing it may out of round easily fixed with channel locks also I got an after market set off of ebay that included all needed hardware for about 80.00 bucks Put in NEW* Rear Saddle Bag Saddlebag Guards for Harley Davidson Touring
