Thanks for the quick responses guys I actually ended up leaving it on a side road for a few hours to go get my trailer and truck. Weirdest thing when I got there it ran no issues I can roll it in neutral and everything. My thoughts are I heard somewhere that because of it being air-cooled on a hot day the clutch and all will expand if it gets hot enough so you need to leave some play in the cable to expand. Which I did not do. I had some issues with shifting on the way down to bike week a few weeks ago so I made a quick roadside adjustment and had that cable with no play on the lever. So hopefully another clutch adjustment and it's good to go. If I'm that lucky!

Well I uncovered some bad news today saw oil dropping from the bike traced it to a huge Crack in the inner primary case :/

Bearing probably took a dump and KO'd the case. Last time I checked the inner case was only a couple C notes.

That's the trouble when mechanical things sit too much. Bearings dry out, rust, etc. Seals harden...

Anything else you guys can think of that would be a good idea to replace while I'm in there?

You'll know when you tear it down. Everything is pretty straight forward, esp. if you have the workshop manual. If you don't I'd advise you buying it. Well worth the 60 bucks.

Since you are in there and it is known the bike sat, I would go ahead and replace all bearings and seals in the primary. Inspect the transmission bearings and clutch assembly for damage and wear.
