Default Denim paint

Has anyone noticed denim painted bikes having a tougher time re selling/selling for less than bikes painted with the other stock options?
Thank you..
ER

Yes. Some "odd" two tones are the same way. The "olive" color from a few years back to name one....

I think it's due to the limited number of people who want that type of paint. I've seen some sitting on the floor in just about every showroom I've been in this year. Personally, it isn't my style of paint, I like shine...

Mine is denim black....... If I had it to do over again, I'd have gotten vivid. It's a little harder to customize around the denim colors IMO...... And Ives seen too many used, or new bikes sitting in the dealership as well......

It's a fad. Like bell-bottom pants and platform shoes, it may cycle in and out of vogue in various iterations, but it doesn't have mass appeal and staying power. If this paint choice had staying power, the car manufacturers would have been painting cars with flat paint and calling them "denim" a long time ago. You'll find that the color with the greatest mass appeal and therefore the broadest reselling base, is Vivid Black. Personally, I don't plan on reselling, so I bought whatever I wanted.

I have denim black and like it. As for resale.. Don't know. RWT, you are right, it's a personal preference. As far as maintenance... it's easy. Maybe the older denim black was hard to keep clean, but the newer one is pretty easy. I use windex. Washing my bike takes about 15 minutes. No chrome to polish.

I have a 2010 x. I use distilled water, windex and the hd denim cleaner. Takes maybe 15 minutes to clean. I love it!
