Air Cleaner Reccomendations

I want to use a mod I found on the forum that trims a factory football A/C cover so that it just covers the front of the air filter. Problem is that I need an oval filter element and the SE is the only A/C I see that uses these. Do I have to use the SE backplate and hardware or will, for instance the Arlen Ness big sucker hardware work? Thanks!

Yes the ness , se , fuel moto, s&s stealth air cleaners will work. I have a foot ball cover if you are interested pm me.

I have always used a SE air cleaner, with a K&N filter, would work in this situation.

I've got a couple of football covers, thought about just cutting the round center a time or two, but never did.

Now my '14 is different.

So just to be sure, you guys are saying that it does not matter whose hardware you go with, you can use an oval filter with all of them? Thanks for the responses
