i want to do the stage 1 upgrade on my 2010 super glide. i have some new bassani pro streets on the way and looking for an air filter. considering either the se air cleaner or an big sucker. i like what i have heard about the big sucker, but am not sure about the lack of a cover seeing as it doesn't fit stock and not a fan of the sock. anyone know where i can find one that covers it?
also, does it change the sound or is that purely the exhaust?
If you wish to use the cover, why not just buy the SE aircleaner?
If the Max. flow is what you are concerned with, either will flow more air than a Stage I engine..Just a thought.

The SE kit allows you to use the covers and if you want K&N has a direct replacement for the SE 1 kit which is a bigger filter than stock.Somewhere buried in the archives is a filter flow rate comparison chart, the SE was rated fairly high.
good to know, their website says "these kits are designed to be used with the stock air filter cover (except Sportster™ & 08-10 FXD)."
good to know it does actually fit. thanks for the heads up man.
Just had it installed on Friday..trust me..it fits. Power boost is good. I have Rush slip ons...remember, the dealer has to do a recalibration on your bike...
I bought mine from the dealer and they installed it. The black plastic airbox under your filter goes away. You are running the filter with the stock air cleaner cover.
