Anyone have the part number of the SE adjustable pushrods needed for an 06 Ultra that is going to a 95 kit? I want to get my order in for the pushrods and pistons today.
That part number is for a kit that included new tubes and clips, o-rings, and the pushrods. The tubes in the kits are shorter than the stock ones so you can raise them higher to make adjustments easier. The clips are just longer.
Since you are going to 95" and tearing the topend down, why not just reuse the stock pushrods?
Thought about doing that but still considering the .030 cometic gasket. I bought my 95 jugs the other day and am now looking to order the 22851-99a se pistons. I am also going with the Andrews 26g cams. Still debating on the stock head gasket with stock pushrods versus the .030 cometic with adjustable pushrods.
Go with the Cometic .030, you should be happy. That is what I used. I also put a Baisley spring in mine and had the heads done by Big Boyz. When are you starting the tear down? Renting or buying the tools or fabricating, etc? Let me know if you have any questions as I still have it all fresh in my mind[8D]
Thanks Dawg. Gathering parts as we speak. The guy I bought the jugs from is also selling KB 9.2 to 1 pistons for $128. I have been waiting for him to get back to me which he did earlier. I have been debating between the SE and the KB. I'm still debating the cometic. I was checking out allen.m's build earlier along with his dyno numbers. He did the 95 with the SE flat tops and went with the stock gaskets and used the stock pushrods. He also used the 26g and his numbers are right there with some of the builds that are using the cometic and the adjustable pushrods. Not doing the heads as the bike is an 06 and I have been told that I won't see much gain when using the 26g cams. Probably going to Autozone for the inner bearing puller. Will use the heating/cooling method for the install. Will also be adding the SE clutch spring. Hope to be tearing it down very soon. Harley shop is about 5 minutes from the house so that should come in handy for little things I initially forget. Most of my riding is highways to work and country back roads locally. Not looking for a race bike but one that has a bit more power for 2 up riding and passing on the highway. Reliability is also a big must.
Also, checked mapquest and FuelMoto is about 4 hours from me. I am thinking of riding up there once the bike is done to get the dynotune. I would think they would be able to get me the most out of my build for my riding style.
