I installed one today. I think it looks and fits very well. On the downside, it won’t work with the H-D shift rod cover I had installed previously so, I had to take it off[:@] Life is full of compromises
Looks nice, did you go with the front cover too? The one that continues the inner cover, can't tell by your picture. Like an idiot I could of installed actual chrome inner cover and didn't think of it till after I had primary back together with 3:37 gear change. I have been thinking of installing the one you used.
This came in two pieces; one long one that goes from the front of the shifter to the top of the primary, just under the exhaust and the other small piece sits on the top flat-part of the primary. They’re held together by a screw and an alignment pin.
I had one on my Wide Glide and it felt like it was made of plastic. This one feels like it made of metal (probably pot metal as they're made in Korea.) [:@]
you should be able to use both the inner primary and shift linkage cover. i have an 04 road king classic and had no problem with them working together. I would check it again.
