I spent almost a week in Maggie Valley from May 17-21. Decided we would tour Wheels Though Time on Tuesday. They were closed as were many of the restaurants in Maggie. Seems like many such venues are only open Thursday through Sunday there. We were disappointed with that but must say riding the Dragon, Moonshine 28, Devils Triangle, and the Cherahola Skyway were super sweet.

I used to live 3 hours from there... my mom lives an hour away.

Great place to visit!

have been there many times and for me every time i go back its like the first time. awesome. for those who are planning on going its very cool if you can watch some of his tv episodes before hand and then when you get there you will find the bikes that were bought and put together to run in his museum. when i was there last year after seeing the tv show three of the bikes on there dale and son fired up at the meseum. very cool! the most interesting bike he has for me is a 1916 traub one of one. found is a house in 1967 in chicago behind a brick wall. complete running cond. with no history of who or were this bike came from to date. and yes he will fire this bike up if there is enough interest and you ask. every bike in this museum has a story behind it. as you can tell this is my must see everytime i am in the area.

It's a great museum. Judging from some of the memorabilia on display, Harley needs to revisit their approach to fuel economy

Btw there's great little restaurant in town: The Country Vine Cafe. It's about half a mile down from the museum, under a shade tree on the right (coming into town from the west, with the museum on your left). You'll probably feel completely out of place and - if you're under 70 - the youngest in there. However, they do a great white table cloth Italian lunch for around $7-$8. One of the town's other restauanteurs recomended it when we pulled in to his place, which was being remodelled

Been to WTT museum a couple of times and we were lucky enough to be there when Dale was there. He took time to show us around and really made our visit memorable. It's fun to watch him on TV having met him in person. Wish him and WTT all the success they deserve.

It is definitely worth going through if you're in the area.

Stopped there last year on my trip to BRP, Skyline Drive and the tail of the dragon. The museum is a must stop for anyone interested in bike history. Both Dale and his son Matt have a real passion for what they do. Got a kick out of Dale's hound dog that likes to ride on the back of an old trike with him.
