Default Wheels Through Time Museum Tour

Went to Tail of the Dragon this past Memorial weekend. On the way back we stopped at "Wheels Through Time" Museum in Maggie Valley North Carolina. Maggie Valley is about 60 miles from the Dragon. What a treat that was. This is not just another bike museum. Well worth the $12.00 admission. Most of the bikes were very old and most are in running condition. They call themselves a running museum. The center of the museum has a bunch of burn outs from the owner when he rides the bike he's currently restoring. During Memorial weekend the "American MotorDrone" wall of death stunt riders were their. Very impressive stunt riding on the 15 foot circular wall.
The own (Dale Walksler) has a TV show called "What's in the Barn" which starts it's second season June 10th on the Volosity channel. I did not know of the TV show until I visited the museum. They are airing last years episodes now. Just watched one where they started 120 bikes in 12 hours. Comes to starting a bike every 6 minutes. These are OLD challenging bikes to start. The oldest was a 1903 HD.
I have no affiliation with Dave or the museum. Just a rider sharing an experience.

I was there last week on the same two days they were closed. I was so disappointed. They didn't do anything wrong they just take their days off in the middle of the week.

What days are they closed?? Ten of us are riding down to Robbinsvile NC in august to relax and ride. Wheels through time is one of the planned adventures. Would hate to get there and find it closed...

Great show, the best bike show on TV. If you get Velocity, worth a watch. If I was ever in that part of the USA I'd be making a trip to the museum.

Stopped there two years ago, awesome place, easy to miss the sign at the highway but easy enough to get turned around. Would go back in a heartbeat as too much to see in just one day.
