A smart tech will take off the lower shocks bolts and raise and lower to remove the axle as opposed to removing mufflers.

Go out and use them hard and get them hot. They'll go beyond spec. If they are in spec HD, will not get reimbursed from their vendor (which I believe is still Sunstar).

I'm from down in Corpus Christi, so hot and humid most of the time. The '14 has been running much cooler that my '12 did. I had the PV, fuel moto AC, Jack pot slip ons and 2-1-2 fuel moto header on the '12. On the '14 everything is the same except the header, I still have the stock header. Today I got hung up at a light in Huntsville that would not change and that baby started cooking me..lol. With the dang PV mounted I was getting paranoid because it said the coolant temp was 224 degrees and and usually runs about 175 while cruising (I might take it off...what I don't know won't hurt me). The '14 did burp coolant one time at the beginning before the recall, not since. I think maneuverability is the same as the '12. The seat comfort is probably the same, I've started using an airhawk r and it works miracles (I put 660 miles on it today and didn't start getting restless till the very end). On the old bike I had the zumo 650 for GPS and it was ok, the gps on the '14 is ok (I'm getting used to it, so it's getting better). I have the 10" LRS on it for my windshield and works great, I use a full face but have the visor up a lot. There seems to be some gaps where it screws down on the fairing but after the deluges I've been in, I have not seen any ill effects. So far so good, it has been a great bike, I'd trade in my old one again in a heart beat. Oh yeah the thing that pisses me off is that when I have a cup in the cup holder that attaches to the bars I can't see my left blinker on the dash...lol

I have had rotors replaced under warranty one bike at 20K and another at 27k.
However there is no way in hell a 2014 would need or even show tire wear at 12K

So you're saying I didn't need tires?! I had about 3/32" of tread and ride two up a lot. Next week I'm riding to Arkansas for a week and did not want to be questioning my tires. Lol...sheesh

If you wore out tires on a 2014 in 12K something is seriously wrong and you need to figure out what. The rear on the new frame goes an easy 20K. I have been getting 21-23 on them. Just replaced the rear on my 2013 a bit early because I had a 4000 mile trip to make

I guess we'll agree to disagree, because everything I've read about rear tire wear is that my 12,600 mileage is normal for a rear tire and that your 23,000 is not normal.

I only got 11k with the stock set and average 12k since on my 2011 Electra. I would love to know how you ride, your weight, riding setup, state you live in etc if you are getting over 20K on a set of tires.

Harley has a new cup holder out that attaches to the downtube on the left side, a bitch to put on but I like it.
