Default I'll never doubt you guys again....

I took my 2014 flhtk in today for it's 10,000 mile inspection (I kinda overshot the mileage due to a 2,200 mile trip this past weekend, the odometer read 12,650 today). While it was there I was getting some warranty work done, the front rotors were getting replaced due to some surging the bike would do right before a dead stop when using the front brakes and also replacing the tires with some Michelin Commander 2's. When I went to pick up the bike I was inspecting the rotors and checking out the tires and all seemed good. After getting home, parking it in the garage and going in I remembered the service paperwork in the bike. I went back out to get it and noticed that my left Jackpot slip on was just hanging there by the crossover section. Holy crap I can't believe I missed this in the dealer parking lot. I'm not sure if it was hanging then or if it came loose on the way home. Both bolts used to attach it were in the bracket, they were just not screwed in to the damn muffler. I'm pretty sure I could do my own service work I just have never done it before and I would hate to get into a can of worms that I couldn't get myself out of. But, I'm thinking at this point I probably couldn't do much worse than them, the difference being is that it is MY bike and I would take my time and do it right. So pissed off right now......

I'm soon going to go in and have them retested and see if I need to raise some hell to get them swapped out.

You couldn't do much worse, get a service manual and some decent tools. You can reference on this forum and on you tube. I did the cams on my 2000 Heritage with help from here and you tube, came out great and I saved myself a grand or so............... Harley dealers that I have around me simply put "SUCK" they act like their doing me a favor with their over priced, shoddy, incompetent work. never again will I have anything on my bike fixed, repaired or diagnosed by a dealer.................

Hi Gabby, from a fellow K owner, great to hear you have so many miles on yours, any problems in all your miles? Being from Texas, you've been riding in heat all year, what about the twin cooling, you notice any difference? Just getting into full blown riding season around here...a little write up about your bike, experience, etc. would be appreciated, thanks!
