Ok
reason I say Taboo is Ive looked around and I don't see many folks doing this. The look of a Street Glide rear (ie) tail lights, bag inserts, and the tri-light that the GLide has in place of my single light.
So folks if you have done this or maybe you have had this idea and found it's not possible give me your input.

Thanks Folks
Other than the cost I don't see how it'd be sacrilege. It's not like you're sticking GT500 stickers on a V6 mustang.
I kinda dislike ppl who want to tell you to stick to "the norm" or stick to "what they think" is the norm. Do whatever you want to do to your bike!!! I say do it--bet it looks cool. No different than guys adding bat wings to the front of softails----some ppl may not like it---but there must be a market for it--cuz lots are doing it.
Have fun doing your own thing. A buddy of mine put fishtails on his SG---everyone told him how stupid that is and how it woudl look. He didn't care and just did it and he gets great compliments everywhere we go. Most commend him for even having the courage to just do it.
You may end up buying a Street Glide fender depending on what you want to do. There's a big hole behind your tail light, so if you want to eliminate it to look like the newer SG's there's that, but the older ones used the bullet signals and curved bar below the taillight so that's an option too. The Tri-Light, there's a few holes back behind your bumper also that I think may complicate things.
I see complete Street Glide fender setups on ebay all the time from guys doing custom stretch fender/bag jobs. You might even find one your color.
There are people that remove theirs & sell them. There was a guy that had the fender complete with all of that & wanted 500.00 for all. If I had the money I would have gotten it for my 99 Ultra. I will see if I can find the info on him.
