Back when I had my sporty I jumped on her one morning for a quick ride.
Put the key in, turned on the igition and nothing.
No lights, fuel pump, nothing.
So I proceeded to remove the seat, check the battery, and all the fuses.
Put everything back together and turned the ignition back on. That's when I realized that I had put the key in the fork lock not the ignition switch. DOH!!
My wife did the same thing then told me to look at her bike because something was wrong. Took me a couple of minutes to figure it out.
I love these stories. Makes me feel normal. Which I'm not, but at least I can pretend. I'm like a lot of the others. I'm only 47 but I'm just about to stop working on the bike myself. I don't trust myself any longer.
