I'm hoping someone has an idea with an issue I'm having. I just bought the 2014 Street Glide Special. I'm trying to register/update so I can download the maps.

System information
Navigation
Export

It starts doing its thing and every time it says export failed. I have tried an 8G 16G and now a 32G USB thumb drive. Format 32FAT to ensure nothing is on there. Am I missing a step or doing something wrong? I would take it to the dealership, but I'm stationed in Germany so that won't be much help for me they just tell me ours come with the. Maps we don't know.

 

I put my thumb drive in (Bike off) turn ignition on and it starts the down load.
Are you getting the map off of a Mac computer?

If I understand correctly, you want to import a map file to the 6.5. If this is the case:

Insert memory stick with map file into the USB port
Select:
Navigation
Menu
Import
Select your map file from the memory stick
Key the small memory stick icon on the right side of the screen between the two arrows

Here is what I had to do to get it to work make sure to follow these steps in order.
Formate thumb drive (8GB)
FAT32

Go to this link

Down load update to desktop

Unzip save contents to thumb drive

Go to the bike turn to accessory on the bike turn radio on

Plug in thumb drive

Will start to down load

(Follow directions)

Once complete pull out the thumb drive and reformat FAT32

Go back to the bike turn the radio on
Setup
System information
Export update

Go to the computer

Type this link in

Creat an account (device is Harley Davidson Premium NA)

Down load Naviextras toolbox (once it's down loaded it will leave an icon on your desktop)

Open it up
Insert your thumb drive (will see lower right corner will say device recognized) will allow him to login.
(Will say important update do not remover your USB click ok)

Creat a folder on the desk top and save everything there

Reformat the thumb drive FAT32

Middle left side of the screen you will see

INTERCONTINENTAL REPLACEMENT (click on it)

Click on it save as to desktop

Open file save content to thumb drive
Take the thumb drive to the bike turn to accessory
Turn radio on
Plug in the thumb drive
Wait for it to do its thing
Follow directions
Code will come up write down the code
Go back to the webpage
Click on
Redeem code or activate
Type in the code (leave out the -)
After you pay it will give you an code go back to the bike put in the code follow the directions takes about 45 min and your done.

If you do not follow these steps in order it will not work
You will not find this in the manual and the contact us for help did not even tell me these steps

Now remember I downloaded the Europe map the state maps would be the same
