Damn man, that sounds like a lot more than just a drop. Sorry to hear this happened, but very glad you came out of it relatively OK. Heal well, and quick bro.

glad you are still with us. What on the road made it slick? I am guessing oil.

went through state farm in november when my father laid his road king down. i believe the total was about 7k in damage.

unfortunately state farm did not cover any of the gear though (chaps, jacket, gloves, boots and helmet).

fathers bike is a 2003 road king screamin eagle.

Officer said he thinks it was oil or antifreeze that had gravel (oil dry) over top of it. It was at night time and a normal road traveled for me so didnt look for anything out of normal in the headlight when maneuvering....

glad to hear you're OKish,

last year i had my 07 SG (had it a week) slip out from under me and flip a few times, by look of bike I thought a few bucks at the dealer and it'd be fixed but insurance totaled i. most time they don't want to repair a motorcycle and they just total them instead

Glad your ok... I had a similar accident in February, but was on my BMW not my Limited... Went down, hit head, concussion, etc... i don't even remember what/why it happened... got a trip to the trauma center, gear did its job, still limping from twisted ankle/knee, but no rash or broken bones... Insurance will not pay for replacement of gear, but should replace helmet. they initially wanted to total my bike, until i pointed out that about 1/2 of the damage was to accessories, i had added $5000 in additional accessory coverage, so we settled, fixed bike, and no branded title...
The sticky part with insurance starts with aftermarket parts replacing factory, and compensation for labor for installation of said parts, just be persistent, not in a hurry to settle... eventually you can get all that your entitled to...

That's 'dropped'? Man, you must think WW II was 'just a little misunderstanding' - that's WAY beyond dropped! Glad you're still with us, heal up soon...good luck with the insurance folks...

Glad to hear you are ok. Heal up soon. The insurance company will pretty much dictate what happens to the bike once they hear from the dealer.
