First Harley for me, 2005 Road King Custom FLHRSI. Ground clearance is about an inch lower then the standard RK is there a way to raise mine an inch or more ?
IF you front end is still stock ( the bottoms of the "cowbells" will be almost even with the fender top- see pic below), then you may swap to 13" shocks from another touring model.
If your front is lowered, you should NOT raise the rear, rake and trail will be off
take off 13's are cheap and work well- i know there are $600 options but i find the stock shocks work well and are easy to tune.
If buying used, the -09 suffix on the part number are better. ensure that the seller has stored them upright and sealed to retain the oil fill.
