failed inspection :(
So I failed inspection for a worn front tire and rear brake pads. Put on a Michelin Commander II and let me tell you what a difference!! I can't believe how much different the bike rides and handles!! Havent had a new front tire till now but what a joy to ride. Only been on the street for a few years, not many miles under my belt. Can't wait to do the rear too... read a lot of positives for the Commander II thats why I chose it. I'm sure the back will be the same. By the way its a 2000 flhtpi w/47000miles Big bore kit, SE 211 cams, V&H True Duals, bigger air cleaner too I think. Also changed out both sets of brake pads too... This forum is the best, any time I have a question or issue you can bet you'll find the answer here, used it for a couple things in the past and you guys always come thru!! Nothing like it..
It fees like it sticks to the road better, dosent follow the "tar snakes", gives a smoother ride, better response, jjust an all around safer feel I guess. Granted my other tire was worn pretty good (not bald or anything) had a "few" miles on it.
I've had nothing but good experience with the Michelin Commanders also.
