I'm new to the HD family and recently picked up a 2012 Electra Glide Ultra Limited... its all stock the only thing I've done to this point is put an extended heel shifter on and I'm thinking my next step is a little extra sound.
I've been reading thru many threads on here and see that alot of folks are adding the slip-ons to the bike.
The question I have is will that increase some sound without having to tune/rejet anything? I'm very happy with the power and performance as-is... thoughts and recommendations?

Welcome. No, slip-ons do not require any adjustment to the ECM. Give a listen to the Street Cannons. They might we what you are looking for.
If the CAT has not been removed yet then that will give you a little extra sound for very few $$$$$$. I did this to my 11 Road King and it was just the volume I was looking for. Not a big difference but a nice rumble.
If you prefer to think ultra inexpensive, take a pipe and insert it into the stock slip on, and pound it until you knock the plug down inside the baffle. I call this "Hand Tuning"
You can adjust the sound by how far the plug is knocked down. It works believe me.
hmmmmm, interesting... I do like the looks of the various slip-ons over the stock ones which is why I was thinking that and the bike has ~1000 miles on it so I didn't think it would be a lot of work to swap out...
One thing I have noticed is that not all sites, surdyke for example, carry all the extra parts you need which makes it a little more fun to piece it all together.

Looks like we could be very close to each other. Let me know if you are interested in what a bike runs and sounds like without out a CAT and stock mufflers.
