You don't need to replace the shield just because it's a tad (2"s) too high. The right blade in a saber saw, some masking tape and a pencil to draw a line with are all you need. I've trimmed 3 of my own after a local shop said they wanted $80, they just didn't want the work, I think.

Ah dunno....at first blush 80 bucks sound how - but break it down. Pull it into the shop, take the shield off. Tape it up, cut it, sand down the edges an' reinstall. You'd be lucky ta git that done in under an hour - an' Heaven Help You if ya mess the shield up! Ah think ah'd pass on that job!

Well, I'd agree with you if that was the whole story. But I was handing them the bare plastic marked for the cut. It turned out to be a job I enjoyed doing myself.

I replaced my stock height shield with a 10-inch version from FastAire. Excellent price, excellent service, excellent quality.
