Default '05 and '06 difference

Looking at engine components/parts such as cylinders, pistons, cam tensionor shoes, etc., there seems to be a break between the years.Still a TC88.What's the difference?

I don't see any change in part # for most of those parts. Tell us what you are looking for and why and we may be able to help!

They went to hydraulic cam chain tensioners in 2007 for touring bikes...the rest of the line made the switch in 2006...not certain what the reasoning for that was, would seem to me that they'd be more interested in making the touring lines more dependable and last longer, but that's the MoCo for ya...

Do you mean the B motor and the Dyna version of the A motor?

Here's a link to the 2006 Model Year Technical Forum, which should outline any changes:

I had a late model 2005 RK and it had the soft valve seals and burned oil through the valve guides with only maybe 20k miles on it, switched out the valve seals to the o6 style and problem solved. They used a different material for one model year on the TC88.
