I have a 2008 Ultra. I had a Stage 2 kit installed when I bought it. Since 2008 I have been through 4 starters. The last time I was in they installed a SE Compenstor kit as well, in 2013 Although it has improved the starters ability to crank over the motor on hot starts it still hasn't eliminated the issue. Anyone had the same problem? I'm wondering if I need to get a decompression system installed or if there are stronger starters available?

 

Compression releases will ease the strain on your starter, and yes there is a higher output starter available from HD, but it sounds to me like compression releases would most likely solve your problem.
