Im having the same problem... I would prefer them to stick out further..Ive emailed a few machinist to see if anyone can make a billet aluminum extension from the muffler to the end caps.... RC component makes a nice 4.5" tip but they are not compatible with Rinehart.... If you found a solution please post and I will do the same..thanks!
Depending on the age (rust) and wether the end caps have silicone applied, be prepared to beat those suckers off with a rubber mallet. Mine were two years old and it took a while to persuade them off. I've seen various Rinehart end cap styles on eBay.
I installed a full set of MGS slip ons with the slash up cut but its not a straight cut it the middle one that has a longer kick out. They are a four inch slip on. Call them and see if they will work, MGS2TB. http://www.mgscustombikes.com/exhaust-tips/
