Street glide clank noise
I have an 09 street glide with 31k on it is it normal to have a loud clank noise coming from the primary side when taking off it's getting annoying I'm coming from a 08 dyna with 32k on it and it didn't make this noise I'm just concerned I purchased the bike a little over a month ago and have put 900 miles on it I took it back to the dealer and they said it was normal any suggestions to what it could be ? If it's that much louder than your Dyna,somethings wrong. It's basically the same drivetrain. Some clunk is expected when you put it in first gear,I'm sure you're aware of that though.

When putting the transmission into first there's always a clunk noise on every harley I've ever heard. Is there a whine noise also with the clutch in or out from the primary as well? I've read there was a lot of compensator problems with the touring harley's and many people say the se one is junk too. I don't know I did buy the esp for 1 year I don't under stand why 2 different dealers won't do anything about it say it's normal.
