I have known "Old Timers" that when they pulled the drain plug on their vehicles, they would pour a quart of diesel in the engine to run straight thru and out.
My concerns then and now has to do with any residual left behind, as mentioned above.
However, the amount of Seafoam to do what you mention is probably not that bad.
I remember trying to tell the old timers why they should not do that, but you could have had a more effective conversation with a stump! Expect the flames, Bro, but it's your bike, probably no harm, "It's yo thang, do whatcha wanna do..."

I think I'd run Zmax in the oil rather than Seafoam, although its good stuff? IMHO???

Thanks guys, appreciate all the different takes on it. Agree it is probably not necessary but being an Operations Manager of a large Campus I see day in & day out how an ounce of preventative maintenance (being the key word here) goes a long ways. In the end dont think I will use it but again, always curious...

With it added to your fuel, it will continuously be diluted and finally burned off. Not sure about putting in your oil when it will always be there to some extent, and added to (refreshed) at each oil change. Why fix a problem that may not even exist, just to possibly create a new one?

You could always throw in a half a quart of atf before the oil change. I have been tempted to get one of these that was mentioned before. http://shop.roguechopper.com/product...-a-touring-kit
Good luck
